Hi. Your timing is excellent!
Thanks for visiting. I'm your director of poker and
instructor.
I've been around the poker
business for over 17 years as a dealer, floor man, manager and trainer.
I went to dealer's school in Las Vegas in 1986, started
dealing poker at the Golden Nugget and moved to Binion's Horseshoe when
the Nugget closed it's poker room in 1988. I worked there for the next 7
years.
I dealt and worked on the floor during 4 World Series of
Poker events. In 1995 I moved to Colorado and worked in a small casino in
Cripple Creek as a Shift Supervisor for 2 years.
I moved to San Diego in 1997 and have worked as a dealer or
supervisor at Viejas Casino, Ocean's 11 and The Lucky Lady Casino.
I joined National Schools and started teaching poker in
October 2004 and have trained over 80 poker dealers since.
The dealers are currently being hired by local casinos and
card rooms. I have an ongoing relationship with many of these casinos and
am constantly in contact with the people who do the
hiring.
Poker is booming around the world. Casinos are
expanding and re-opening poker rooms to accommodate all the new players and
there is a large demand for professionally trained poker dealers right
now. Internet poker and televised poker are the driving force behind this
tremendous growth in the industry and the casinos and card rooms are
reaping the benefits.
I cordially invite you to
visit our beautiful facilities here in La Mesa or call me for an appointment
to discuss your future as a poker dealer. Call Kurt at
619-461-2800 or 619-517-0732.
